Paris Office of Nouvelles d'Arménie Magazine Ransacked; Equipment Stolen
Armenia’s Embassy in France has strongly condemned the October 19 nighttime ransacking of the Paris office of the Nouvelles d'Arménie magazine, describing the attack as “a serious encroachment on freedom of speech and republican values.”
The door to the magazine’s office was broken down, and three computer and one camera were reported stolen.
The next issue of the magazine was about to go to print.
"Computers, which were not commercially valuable, contained the model for our next issue of the magazine and a number of important information, non-public interviews, and so forth," Nouvelles d'Arménie reported on its website.
The magazine regularly covers the Karabakh issue, advocates the criminalization of Turkish denial and, in the present context, in defense of the Kurds against Turkish invasion.
