At a press conference today in Yerevan, Armenian Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan said that school age children are among the 290 individuals who have tested positive for Covid-19 in Armenia.

The minister said three health workers -a nurse, doctor and ambulance driver – have tested positive.

 Torosyan said there is no shortage of test kits and that more are on the way.

The minister said that 1,440 people have been tested for the virus.

He said that tests are only carried out at the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention in Yerevan and its Gyumri, Vanadzor and Kapan branches.

Torosyan confirmed that 140 individuals, employees at an Erebuni factory in Yerevan and people close to them, have been quarantined.
