Armenia” International Airports (AIA), the company that operates Yerevan’s Zvartnots airport under a 30 year lease arrangement today refuted charges made by Armavia that it had stopped flights from Yerevan to Moscow and Rostovdue to high airport tariffs.

In its statement, AIA said that it had actually granted Armavia discounted tariffs as the country’s national carrier.

AIA noted that according to a report from the Russian Federal Air Transport Agency Rosaviatsia, Armavia is no longer allowed to fly to Russia because of the debt is has accumulated.
