Eduard Aghajanyan, who heads Armenia’s delegation at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), accuses the organization of focuses solely on developments in Ukraine and neglecting issues tied to the 2020 Artsakh war.

Aghajanyan told reporters today that proposals made by the Armenian delegation at the PACE summer session (the return of Armenian POWs held in Azerbaijan, the safety of Armenian monuments in territory now under Azerbaijani control, settling the Karabakh conflict under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group) were rejected.

Aghajanyan said that Armenia and Azerbaijan PACE delegates were the only ones who raised issues related to the South Caucasus following the outbreak of war in Ukraine.
