Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan today, in Yerevan, attended the opening of a football training school named in honor of Khoren Hovhannisyan, regarded as the nation’s most outstanding football player of the past fifty years.

Yerevan native Hovhannisyan, awarded the title of USSR Master of Sport, played for the USSR national team and later for Yerevan’s Ararat club in Armenia’s Premier League.

Hovhannisyan also managed the Homenetmen football club in Beirut and Yerevan’s Kilikia team.
