Activists Interrupt Press Conference: OSCE Observers Walk Out
OSCE PA election observers walked out midway during a press conference at the Marriot Hotel in Yerevan when an activist from the audience climbed onto the stage and began to read a prepared text regarding election violations.
Up till then, the OSCE observers had noted that the election proceeded more or less normally and without any major incident.
When the floor was opened to questions from reporters, Lena Nazaryan, who served as an observer in an Artashat precint, walked on to the stage to read a statement.
Security attempted to remove her but other activists in the crowd came to her defense.
It was then when the OSCE observers exited the hall. So far, they haven’t returned.
