Panorama.am contacted RA Presidential Office Press Secretary Armen Arzoumanyan to verify whether Serzh Sargsyan is willing to meet with Raffi Hovannisian, who is now on hunger strike in Freedom Square.

Arzoumanyan told the news outlet that the Presidential Chief of Staff had telephoned Hovannisian to officially invite him to meet with Sargsyan.

“Unfortunately, Mr. Hovannisian rejected the invitation to meet and discuss all outstanding issues. We only hope that Mr. Hovannisian realizes the urgency of the movement and the potential dangers in rejecting the path of dialogue,” Arzoumanyan said.
