Yerevan Police Issue Warning: Stop "Illegal" Actions

Yesterday the police of the Republic of Armenia had an announcement warning about the necessity to strictly adhere to the limitations of the authorized body during today's march. Despite of it, a number of participants of the assembly have partly violated the march route, thus allowing themselves anti legal actions.

In spite of the actually liberal law "On freedom of assemblies" operating in the Republic of Armenia, as well as the practice formed on the basis of that law, which in no wise undermined the freedom of assemblies, a number of participants of today's assembly don't realize the value of such law and the consequences of its violation, they consider it to be their duty to violate the law under any pretext, resort to instigations, testing the patience of our society and that of police as well as the latter's will to meet the demand of law.

Yerevan city department of the RA police is strictly warning such instigators about the inevitability of legal, especially administrative liability, and is stating that it is no longer possible for the police to exercise its power of enduring certain anti legal actions and the police is going to ensure the inevitability of liability for each anti legal action without retainings.

Yerevan city department of the RA police is demanding  from the participants of the assembly to follow the organizers' instructions without reservation, as well as not to incite RA citizens to anti legal actions.
