Police have arrested the son of a man injured in a gun battle that took place in Gyumri on April 23.

It appears that Gevorg Khachatryan turned himself in at the Gyumri police station, declaring that on April 23 he intended to pursue Vahe Ghoukasyan, the man who had earlier shot his father Harutyun Khachatryan, with the goal of exacting revenge.

Gevorg Khachatryan handed over to police a semi-automatic pistol in his possession.

As a result of the April 23 shoot-out, Harutyun Khachatryan and Artyom Karapetyan were taken to hospital with bullet wounds. Karapetyan later died from those wounds.
