Armenia's Main Export to Georgia is Bottles - $16.4 Million

The amount of Armenia’s trade turnover with neighboring Georgia grew by 25% in 2013, totaling US$150 million.

Armenia has a positive trade balance with Georgia – its exports exceed imports.

Armenia imports some $400 million worth of goods transported via Georgia. Half of this, $200 million are Turkish products.

Most of Armenia’s exports mostly bottles to Georgia, around $16.4 million worth. This is almost double the figure posted in 2012. This is perhaps due to an increase in Georgian wine exports to Russia.

The second largest Armenian export to Georgia is cement - $11.8 million. Next in line is ethyl alcohol ($3.6 million) and packaging material ($5.5 million).

Armenia’s main import from Georgia is fertilizer ($12.5 million), followed by steel bars ($7 million), wood tiles ($6.7million), gypsum ($5 million) and citrus fruits ($3 million).
