When asked to comment on recent developments within the Heritage Party led by Raffi Hovhannisyan, Rule of Law Party MP Heghineh Bisharyan responded that it wouldn’t be correct for her to get involved in speculation. "When your neighbours are having a family argument, it’s not polite to stick your nose into their affairs.   She advised the press to seek answers directly from Heritage Party representatives. "Those are internal matters about which we aren’t qualified to comment on," she said. MP Bisharyan also had little to say regarding MP Khachatur Soukiasyan’s giving up his seat in the parliament. However, she claimed that she respected Mr. Soukiasyan as a man of principle and holds him in high regard. "Perhaps the man had a point to make and this was the way he chose to make it," she added. When asked by reporters why Khachatur Soukiasyan was freed so quickly while opposition activist Nikol Pashinyan still remains behind bars, Ms. Bisharyan stated, "However, I cannot say similar positive things about Nikol Pashinyan." "This is a matter for law enforcement. Perhaps they freed Khachatur Soukiasyan because he wasn’t facing charges. Who can say why they free one person and try another. I am just glad that my colleague has been freed and that his hands are clean."
