Regarding the January 25 meeting of the presidents of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia in Sochi, Heritage Party MP Larisa Alaverdyan commented, "That process in which NKR doesn’t participate cannot be considered to be one of negotiations. This recent meeting was just the last of such non-negotiations." Reiterating the position of her party that the NKR must directly participate in any settlement talks, MP Alaverdyan noted, "The presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan are free to engage in their political activities or to travel to other countries and meet, but I have no expectations from these meetings."
