Tomorrow, bailiffs from the Compulsory Enforcement Service are scheduled to evict the family of Anna Pamboukhchyan form their house on Nor Aresh Street. What happened is that Sonia Tovmasyan, who resides in the U.S., filed a court suit claiming that her brother’s wife, Anna, had illegally taken possession of the house. The court ruled in favour of Tovmasyan. Anna Pamboukhchyan appealed the court’s eviction order but to no avail. In 1998, another court had ruled that Anna and her sons had occupancy rights in the house whose ownership was in question. Even though Pamboukhchyan presented this document to the court, it ruled that she and her sons must vacate and turn the house over to Sonia Tovmasyan.
