Pambukhchyan Family Gets Last Minute Eviction Reprieve

Anna Pambukhchyan and her sons have been nervously awaiting the day when court bailiffs would show up to evict them from the house they have been residing in at 37 Nor Aresh Street. They had received the paperwork for the eviction. The eviction order had been signed when Sonya Tovmasyan, residing in the U.S., had filed for the family’s removal arguing that they illegally occupied the house belonging to her brother. Anna Pambukhchyan was married to Tovmasyan’s brother at the time. Today, however, the family received another document from the CES (Compulsory Enforcement Service) that their eviction had been halted due to a 1998 residency document that had been granted them by court. Mrs. Pambukhchyan told Hetq that she has been trying to get a document from the Real Estate Cadastre allowing them to occupy the premises but that they have been getting the "bureaucratic run-around".
