Indians Flock to Armenian Colleges Due to Manageable Costs

Competition for acceptance in top colleges and universities in India is fierce. Those who don’t make the cut and have the finances opt for schools in the U.S., Australia and Europe. Given that education costs are relatively cheap in Armenia, those who can’t afford Europe or the States come to Armenia to further their higher education. "Regardless of where one has studied, to work as a doctor in India, you have to pass the rigorous certification exams with good marks," said Indian Ambassador Achal Koumar Malhotra. The diplomat’s son studies in Vienna since here in Armenia his chosen field isn’t taught in English. Ambassador Malhotra also explained that he was posted in Australia when his son was sending out his college applications.
