MP Zohrabyan Calls Erdogan an “Adventurist and Charlatan”

Prosperous Armenia Party MP Naira Zohrabyan described today’s decision by the RoA National Assembly to remove the Armenian-Turkish Protocols ratification from the current parliamentary agenda as "very correct". In her remarks, MP Zohrabyan labeled Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan as a "adventurist and charlatan" and Turkey as a nation in which certain adventurist political mentalities hold sway. "Now, the entire responsibility falls on Turkey, since it is due to Turkey that the normalization process has failed to be situated in its normal course and world public opinion will call Turkey to task for its actions; for its failed attempts to place the process on a non-constructive course," she stated to Hetq. MP Zohrabyan said that while Armenia remained loyal to the letter and spirit of the ratification process, Turkey had continuously distorted the contents of the Protocols. "The latest remarks by the Turkish Prime Minister merely served to solidify the stance of Armenia that Turkey continues in its attempt to distort the content of the Protocols and to link them to the Karabakh issue and recognition of the Genocide."
