The spiritual and cultural committee of the Sardarapat Movement held its first press conference today and presented the main areas of its planned work.  The first of these is the development of a spiritual and cultural policy, which envisages the production of a concept paper and action plan. The committee aims at developing a society which is not materialistic and has cultural values.  The committee felt that some forms of culture deserved state support, but that did not mean that others would be prohibited. “The world should know Armenia through Komitas, not Armenchik, for example” clarified Lala Mneyan.
