Armenian National Movement to Respond to Charges of Fraud
Yesterday,Karapet Rubinyan, a high-ranking member of the HHZh (Armenian National Movement) issued a public statement to the press in which he tendered his resignation. He cited fraud in the recent round of HHZh governing board elections as the major reason for his resignation.
Mr. Rubinyan alleges that he came upon a ballot slip, easily copied, that would prevent his election to the board. Today, in response to a Hetq inquiry, newly-elected board President Aram Manukyan, said that the party would be issuing a statement in the next few hours in an official response to Rubinyan’s charges.
