Court Throws Out Family's Property Right Suit
The Administrative Court today threw out the petition of the Abrahamyan family demanding that the Yerevan Municipality verify their property rights to a house on 83 Buzand Street.
The property was declared eminent domain according to a 2007 government decision and was subsequently sold to businessman Hayk Beglaryan, the son of Barsegh Beglaryan, owner of the "Flesh" chain of gas stations.
The Abrahamyan family has to date refused to vacate the house and hand it over to Beglaryan. The family has told Hetq that they will apply to the Court of Cassation, seeking annulment of the Administrative Court’s ruling.
