Karapet Rubinyan, who recently created a relatively large clamour in oppositional Armenian politics when he resigned from the Armenian National Movement (HHZh), told Hetq that he has no regrets for what he did. "I was given information that the HHZh administration worked against me and my interests. It wasn’t to penalize dissident opinion but what they did was unacceptable," he told Hetq. Both sides in the fall-out have come out with statements clarifying their respective positions. Newly –elected HHZh President Aram Manukyan has stated that Rubinyan’s move was regrettable and that differences of opinion should be discussed behind closed doors.
