The trial looking into the death of journalist Gayaneh Babayan, recently run over in a traffic accident that got underway today at the Kanaker-Zeytoun District Court was interrupted just minutes ago when a boisterous shouting match broke out between the sisters of the dead journalist and Judge Lyova Avetisyan.

It appears that the sisters were not satisfied with the way the judge was handling proceedings and began to loudly charge Avetisyan with unprofessional conduct and turning the court into a circus. Judge Avetisyan walked out of the courtroom, which triggered a shouting match between the family of the dead journalist and attorney for Vahan Yeghiazaryan, who is said to have run over Gayaneh with his car. They charged the attorney with supplying the court with a false witness.
