Mourat Simonyan Elected Mayor of Enlarged Tatev Community
Mourat Simonyan won yesterday’s election for mayor of the enlarged community of Tatev in Armenia’s southern Syunik Province.
The community now comprises the villages of Tatev, Halidzor, Shinuhayr, Svarants, Khot, Harzhis, Kashouni and Tandzatap.
Simonyan, whose nomination was put forth by the Republican Party of Armenia, had been serving as mayor of Tatev before the enlargement of its administrative territory.
