Armenian President Flies to Vatican, Italy
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan flies to the Vatican today on a two-day state visit during which he will meet with Pope Frances and attend the unveiling of a statue dedicated to Grigor of Narek (951-1003), an Armenian monk, poet, theologian and composer.
Sargsyan will also meet with Giacomo dalla Torre del Tempio di Sanguinetto, acting head of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, and the two are expected to sign a cooperation agreement.
The Armenian president will also meet with Italian President Sergio Mattarella, Italian Senate President Maria Elisabetta Alberti Casellati, and President of the Italian Chamber of Deputies Roberto Fico.
