Armenian Police Warn Reporters to Steer Clear of Protesters

Police in Armenia have accused Nikol Pashinyan of disregarding their order to call off today’s rally in opposition to Serzh Sargsyan becoming the next prime minister of Armenia, warning him and others that the Police are legally sanctioned to take any and all measures necessary to restore public order in Yerevan if and when necessary.

The Police have also called on members of the press to keep a reasonable distance from the protesters so as not to be injured if special measures are sanctioned and used against the protesters.
