Despite the decision of the Court of Cassation, the Yerevan Mayor's office consistently refuses to provide the Investigative Journalists with information regarding decisions made by former mayors relating to allocation of land in the park surrounding the Opera. Instead, they have to compensate the organization the material damage of 308,300 drams caused by their inefficiency because that amount has been spent on legal costs.

After the court cases were delayed twice - firstly at the request of the Ministry of Finance and then because of the Mayor's office - the Judge of the Kentron and Nork-Marash district's Court of First Instance, Edik Avetisyan, satisfied the claim of the Investigative Journalists to compensate the amount of material damage on 24 May.
