Student Led Anti-Corruption Campaign Hits Yerevan Campuses

The “Miasin” youth movement has launched an anti-corruption drive in several of Yerevan’s colleges and universities that features the photographs of bribe-taking teachers being pasted. On the walls of buildings located next to Yerevan State University there are photos of at least twenty faculty and administration members with the word “bribe taker” written on them.
The posters also state that the names were compiled from interviews with students and emails sent to the “Miasin” website. There one reads that, “The aim of the project is to do away with all manifestations of corruption in the schools through the united action of the students and to publish the names of all corrupt teachers and faculty members.”
The website statement also notes that, “The time has come for the students themselves to work for the establishment of the rule of law in the schools. Corruption in the education system merely serves to spawn similar practices in other sectors since it is the educational system that is churning out the corrupt leaders of tomorrow.

Պետք է նշեմ, որ անճշտություն կա հրապարակման մեջ, քանզի ԵՊՀ Արևելագիտության ֆ-տում Հրաչյա Փոլադյան անունով դասախոս չկա, կա մեկ այլ դասախոս, որի ազգանունը Փոլադյան է, նա սակայն դասավանդում է արաբերեն լեզու միայն Միջազգային հարաբերությունների ֆ-տում և գուցե հենց նա է կաշառակերը: Խնդրում եմ շատ մանրամասն ուսումնասիրել և ապա հրապարակել անուններ, քանզի ձեր անպատասխանատու գործի պատճառով կարող է աղճատվել ոչ դասախոս, բայց հայտնի դիվանագետ և արևելագետ Հրաչյա Փոլադյանի բարի համբավը:

Ես մի տեղ էլ էի կարդացել, որ մանկավարժականի ռեկտորի տղան ցուցակի նախաձեռնողներից է և այդ ծառայության փոխարեն մանկավարժականի խաթրին չեն կպնելու։ Հիմա փորձում եմ գտնել դա ինտերնետում, չեմ կարողանում։ Կարո՞ղ եք օգնել։

I niether aprove nor condemn the action of the students, but the problem of corruption and bribery will not get solved just with nameing and shaming. I’ve lived in 4 different counties in my life time so far including Armenia. I think if you want to have a fair socity you must increase the salaries of teachers, police and the medics so much (3 to 5 times) that they not need to take bribe for survival at the same time not to hesitate to sack or jail them if they are not comply.
PS i do not belong to any of mentionrd proffesions.
