When reporters asked Armenian Football Federation President Rouben Hayrapetyan how he felt after the 2-0 loss to Turkey, he replied “bad”.Mr. Hayrapetyan, responding to a question posed by “Hetq”, said that, “There must be an infusion of good players for the Armenian national squad to compete effectively in the future. We must see to it that new, young players come up from the ranks.”
He claimed that the decision to stage yesterday’s game in the coastal city of Bursa was political. “Don’t you know that the people of Istanbul rose up and opposed the game being played there, saying it was dangerous. The same happened in Kayseri. Conditions were more manageable in Bursa.”

What’s wrong with incorporating some players from the Diaspora? There are several professional Armenian players around the world who do not play for their national teams. They are certainly of better quality than what Armenia has fielded to date and perhaps could bring new skill sets to Hayastan.

The problem with Armenia players is their diet and smoking, coupled with lousy play. You guys should stop smoking and eating unhealthy foods(khash). More exercise will help too. Our team has become the laughing stock of the world. jesus Christ, losing twice? I’ll throw all of the players to jail.
