Ferris Wheel of Hope

The ferris wheel in the town of Abovyan was a place of enchantment for local children. It sat high on a hill, surrounded by trees, giving off magical lights and colors. Sitting atop the "devil's wheel" afforded one the best view of thw town below, shimmering in the glow of evening lights. One day, they came and moved the ferris wheel. The St. John the Baptist Church, financed by Prosperous Armenian Party head Gagik Tsarukyan, rose on the same site. Members of the political and business elite were invited to attend the consecration ceremonies. On the other side of the ribbon, local residents stood and followed the ceremony. They were as docile as sheep and as hungry as wolves.
