Women were busy baking delicious zhingyal bread, made from tens of herbs, in every corner of the Nikol Duman House-Museum in the Askeran village of Tzaghkashat. Bakers from all regions of Artsakh had arrived at today's festival with their own secret recipes and all boasted that their product was the best. Visitors to the first ever festival, not wishing to offend any one region, went from booth to booth tasting the bread accompanied by a glass of local red wine.
