The village of Koti in Armenia’s Tavoush Province bordering Azerbaijan hasn’t escaped being fired on by the Azerbaijani military. Residents of the village state that their village not only is located on the border, but serves as a border guardian. Koti suffered heavy damage due to the constant firing that broke out from September 1 to 3. Two individuals were injured and are now being treated at Yerevan’s Mouratsan Hospital. Bullet holes are to be found in the walls and roofs of homes, windows were shattered, vehicles and hay bales hit and burned. The village school came under fire. Today, the situation is relatively peaceful even though gunfire can be heard periodically.
