Move over teenagers and twenty somethings – a 51 year-old from Armenia, Louisa Aghajanyan, won the 2012 Miss Grandma Universe beauty contest held last Sunday in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Luisa Aghajanayan hails from Alaverdi, is a teacher-choreographer, and has three children and two grandchildren.

Grandmothers from various countries participated in the contest, which was held in three rounds: National Costume Show, Talent and Cooking, and Evening Gown Show.
