10:56, February 23, 2012“ICT leaders meeting” upcoming forum will cover the issues of Telecommunication field development and existing problems. Forum will take place on February 25-26 at Aghveran resort.
The forum participants are representatives from the ministries of Economy, Transport and Communication, Territorial Administration, Urban Development, Finances, The State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition, Public Services Regulating Commission, Yerevan Municipality, State Committee of the Real Estate Cadastre, as well as participants from ICT companies.
The following topics are included in the agenda:
1. State policy of telecommunication field development
2. Challenges in the regulation of public services in the telecommunication field and mid-term approaches: Common use of telecommunication infrastructures, Virtual Operator, Number portability issues, Universal Services
3. Telecommunication infrastructure development: from highways to roofs
4. Transparency, professional and non-partizan implementation of tenders: Preparation of tender calls, Online tendering procedures, Appeal procedures, Why to involve industry representatives and experts in tender procedures
“ICT Leaders Meeting without Ties” has been organized since 2007 and has the objective to gather the representatives of private and public sectors in one place and discuss in an informal environment the most urgent issues related to ICT sector. The reports with conclusions on the issues discussed at the Forum are further presented to the heads of relevant RA state agencies and bodies or RA prime minister.
