RA President Serzh Sargsyan today sent the following congratulatory letter to Michel Legrand, holder of the RA Order of Honor, on the occasion of his 80th birthday.

Dear Maestro Legrand,

I cordially congratulate you on your 80th birthday. You have made a great contribution to the development of contemporary music, and your works are performed all over the world. Thanks to the outstanding luminaries like yourself, relations between your two motherlands – Armenia and France – have become even stronger.

I recall with special warmth our meeting in Yerevan back in September of 2009. I am confident, that we will meet again in the future as well, hopefully in Yerevan, because the Armenian nation loves you and is proud of you.

I once again congratulate you on your jubilee and wish you good health and boundless vigor.
