Public Conference on Armenia's Environment Set for April 10 in Yerevan
The state of the environment in Armenia will be the focus of a public conference to be held on Tuesday, April 10, at the Congress Hotel in Yerevan.
A civic group in Armenia active in the defense of the Trchkan waterfall is calling on all concerned citizens to participate and express their opinions regarding the environmental challenges facing the country and what can be done on a grassroots level to tackle them
In light of the growing number of mines operating across Armenia, continuing illegal and legal felling of forests, shrinking animal and plant habitat, unrestricted development, and other issues, the group has put on the agenda the question of creating a public monitoring and advocacy organization to address these vital issues.
The conference will start at 1:30pm and last till 6.
All are invited!
