RA President Serzh Sargsyan led a high-tanking government delegation to Artsakh to participate in ceremonies marking the 20th anniversary of the liberation of Shushi.

Also in attendance was Catholicos Garegin II of the Armenian Apostolic Church and guest from overseas.

President Sargsyan marched from Renaissance Square in Stepanakert to the military memorial where he and other dignitaries placed wreaths to honor those who gave their lives to the liberation of Shushi.

He later placed a wreath at a tank memorial on the approaches to Shushi.

May 8 is also Artsakh Armed Forces Day.
