British Embassy Has "London Calling 2012" Mural Painted on Outside Wall

On May 18 the Olympic Torch for the third time in history will arrive to the UK and the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay will begin its 70 day journey around the UK.

To mark the start of the Olympic Torch Relay the British Embassy Yerevan had some street art done on the embassy wall outside. The author of the "graffiti" is artist Edgar Amroyan. “It my first order to make a graffiti in Yerevan”, he said.

The torch is a symbol of peace and an embodiment of the Olympic Truce, which promotes the ideals of peace and conflict resolution and the premise that individuals, not countries, compete against each other in peaceful competition without the burden of politics, religion, or racism. 8000 inspirational people will carry the Olympic Flame as it travels the length and breadth of the UK and makes a trip Ireland.

British Embassy in Yerevan reports that the flame, which was lit from the rays of the sun in Greece on 10 May will arrive at Olympic stadium in Stratford for the London 2012 Olympic Games opening ceremony on 27 July.

Levik, do you know what is Gaffiti? the work you see here really ordered by British Embassy and be a little bit less Armenian envy, jealous and other sorts of things. Just be happy, a little bit at least for your Armenian....
