The Tatev cable car’s operating system was damaged by a lightning storm that hit the Halidzor area on May 18, forcing management to temporarily suspend operations.

Presently, local and Swiss experts are conducting a thorough check of the system and technical safeguards and making needed repairs.

They plan to get the cable car up and running very soon.
