13:19, June 18, 2012RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan appears to have been busy amassing large amounts of cash lately.
Evidence of this are his recent asset and revenue disclosure statements he’s obligate to make as a government official.
PM Sargsyan has a number of accounts in various banks from which he derives a large amount of interest income.
He’s declared 35 million AMD and $859,000 in cash as of the end of 2011. This is in addition to his 3,334,080 AMD salary and the 211,000 AMD in speaking fees.
In comparison, he only declared 17.2 million AMD and $22,000 in cash in 2009.
Tigran Sargsyan’s wife Gohar is also an individual of means, even though she claims no gainful employment.
At the beginning of 2011, she declared 12 million AMD and $119,823 in cash holdings. By the end of the year these amounts grew to 15 million AMD and $128,920.
PM Sargsyan also has a number of real estate holdings – a 122 square meter apartment on Yeghishe Charents Street, a 134 s.m. private home on Vshtuni Street and he’s a co-owner of a 93 s.m. apartment on Baghramyan Street in Yerevan.
