Kotayk Deputy Governor Arrested for Pocketing $95 Bribe
Armenia’s National Security Service states that its agents arrested Kotayk Deputy Regional Governor Levon Mikayelyan today when he was pocketing a 40,000 AMD ($95) bribe from a local school principal.
The NSS states that during his tenure Mikayelyan had periodically demanded bribes from principals to free their schools from inspections and to resolve other administrative matters.
A criminal case has been filed regarding the charges.
