The Trchkan Waterfall Defense Initiative has written to the Armenian Environment Minister about the devastating impact that two small hydro-electric plants have caused to the Herher tributary of the Arpa River.

Photos showing that the Herher tributary has basically dried up along with one of the waterfalls were sent to the ministry as well.

The group calls on the ministry to investigate the matter and says it will collect further evidence regarding the environmental damage caused by the hydro-plants.
