At a Yerevan court today, the news site slaq.am agreed that it had slandered Anoushavan Nikoghosyan, who ran for parliament in Election District 32 in the May.   

Nikoghosyan claims that slaq.am maligned his good name and reputation in a May 4 article alleging that the reason he entered the race against Republican Party candidate Karen Karapetyan was purely based on commercial interests.

The judge hearing the case has given the sides until August 10 to reach an out of court settlement.
