This Day in 1993: Armenia Introduces National Currency
On this day in 1993, Armenia introduced its national currency into circulation.
At a cabinet session of the government today, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan underscored the significance of the day in terms of establishing the independence of Armenia.
After the introduction of the national currency, the government decided to mark the day as Bank Employee Day.
