Istanbul police have installed high definition camera throughout the neighbourhood of Samatya, in response to a number of attacks against elderly Armenian women of late.

Today's Zaman also reports that Fatih Mayor Mustafa Demir visited with the assault victims in their homes on Sunday (Fatih is the Istanbul district encompassing Samatya).

Demir told the paper that the police are conducting an extensive search to apprehend the culprits.
