Heritage Party VP Still In Police Custody

Heritage Party member Anahit Bakhshyan has informed Hetq that the police are still holding Heritage Party Vice-President and former MP Arem Martirosyan in the Arabkir police station.

Bakhshyan said that Martirosyan called her and said not to worry.

National Assembly MP Tevan Poghosyan, former RA Human Rights Defender Larisa Alavaerdyan and attorney Seda Safaryan have rushed to the police station.

Unconfirmed news reports say that the police had earlier hit Martirosyan’s mother and that he went to her defense, thus sustaining a bloody nose.
