Armen Chakhalyan Gets Two Months for "Hooliganism"



Armen Chakhalyan, brother of Javakhk activist Vahagn Chakhalyan, has been sentenced to two months imprisonment by Georgian police. The charge is “hooliganism”.

Chakhalyan and others were arrested on June 28 in the Ninotzminda village of Gondoura after a brawl broke out.

Vahagn Chakhalyan told Hetq that his brother was beaten by Georgian authorities after being arrested.

Armen Chakhalyan has been transferred to a Tbilisi jail.
