Bashmet says he fell in love with the duduk on a visit he made fifteen years ago,

Before the concert, Bashmet was awarded a Medal of Honor by Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan.

The world renowned composer said the medal had special significance for him despite the fact that he has been awarded many during his musical career.
