Iranian Company Suing Nairit Again Gets Trial Postponment

It appears that SandbadTir INTL Transport, the Iranian company that has filed a bankruptcy lawsuit against Nairit Plant CJSC in Armenia, doesn’t have an official address.

The claim was made by Nairit representative Nelli Tovmasyan in a Yerevan district court today.

Vrezh Khachikyan, lawyer for the plaintiff, was a no-show. Instead, he had sent the court a motion to postpone proceedings in order to properly present the documentation involved in the case.

An irate Judge Ara Koubanyan noted that this was the third such motion to postpone the trial by the plaintiff. Koubanyan observed that the plaintiff hasn’t set any deadline for the postponement.

Nevertheless, the judge acquiesced and postponed the trial until March 25. Koubanyan said the matter of the Iranian company’s whereabouts would be discussed then.
