Today at 7 AM about five thousand police troops surrounded Liberty square dispersing peaceful protesters.

Police troops headed by chief of Robert Kocharyan’s guard tried to arrest First President of the Republic of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrosyan. Ter-Petrosyan requested sanction for the arrest which police officers were not able to provide. Right now Levon Ter-Petrosyan stays on the Liberty square surrounded by police troops. Some of Ter-Petrosyan´s key team members disappeared. Levon Ter-Petrsoyan declared they will try to continue peaceful protests by 15:00, March 1.
