The Kentron and Nork-Marash District Jurisdictional Court has invalidated the slander suit brought by Yerevan Humanities Institute Rector Mikayel Amirkhanyan against Hetq Weekly and Ani Hovhannisyan, one of its reporters. Mr. Amirkhanyan had been demanding an official retraction by Hetq regarding an article entitled, "Yes, I am engaged in business", that Hovhannisyan had written back in March. The rector had also demanded 200,000 AMD in compensation for legal fees. At the last court session, Amirkhanyan stated that he was withdrawing the suit.
