Equipment sent to Lernadzor for exploratory uranium drilling unexpectedly caught fire last night. Law enforcement personnel have been making the rounds in the village looking for possible clues as to the cause. Local Syunik residents have come out in opposition to the uranium mining plans and have scheduled a demonstration on November 11 at 5pm in the nearby town of Kapan.
